Description

IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...

Auction is for one nice young pair (1 male + 1 female) of the beautiful Dwarf Red Gularis killifish Fundulopanchax sjoestedti. They are about 1" long as of this writing, just beginning to color up. The winning bidder may also purchase one additional pair.

A classic Gularis strain. I acquired this particular line a few generations ago, and am very impressed. The males stayed under 4 inches, and have a very nice red/orange cast when relaxed. A moderately easy killifish to keep and breed: they eat flake, pellet, live and frozen foods (brine, bloodworms, blackworms) voraciously. Great jumpers; keep 'em covered.

Parameters: I don't use heaters, so tanks are in the low 70s in winter and high 70s in summer. Our water is moderately hard (140mg/l) with a pH of 7.5, and I add one tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons. TDS is about 200 out of the tap, but my addition of salt brings it up to 1000 or so.

Shipping: I prefer to ship fish by Express Mail but can ship Priority Mail with no guarantee. Priority Mail is a flat $25. Express Mail usually runs anywhere between $45 and $85, depending on weight and your distance from Milwaukee. Please email a list of fish you wish to purchase and your ZIP code, and I will get you a quote.

Payment: please pay by paypal within 3 days of purchase. I usually send out an email within a day of auction end, but feel free to email whenever you wish. I would prefer to send a paypal invoice, so please let me know your quantity and shipping choices. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.

Replacement: FOR EXPRESS MAIL ONLY: In the unlikely event that fish perish during shipping, I will either replace or refund the price of the fish, provided that you let me know of the loss within two hours of the time tracking shows delivery. The most dangerous part of their trip is often the time spent sitting in the mailbox or on the porch. If you unable to be home for mail delivery, please consider having the parcel held at your local post office for you to pick up. Shipping charges are not refundable.
