It provides cover for fry and shade to your aquarium. This helps to reduce evaporation and can reduce algae growth. Freshwater Duckweed is perfect for creating a natural underwater environment that your fish will love. In addition duckweed will help maintain a healthy ecosystem feeding on fish waste. This is one way it inhibits the growth of algae. Duckweed helps maintain cleaner and clearer water, decreasing the need for frequent water changes. Upon receiving your order open the bag add lukewarm water to the bag and dump into a cup or bowl. Use a plastic fork or two to loosen and fluff the duckweed. It will revive soon. Add to your aquarium. Our duckweed has been raised by an 11 year old aspiring aquarist and fish breeder. We charge a flat rate shipping fee of $4.
