Crypts are an easy plant that originates in south-east Asia. Plant them in the substrate and once their root system gets established, they're very undemanding plants.

We use snails, amphipods, ostracods, shrimp and other critters as natural algae control for our plants. There is a high likelihood that some of these critters will hitchhike on our plants when they are sent to our customers. Our plants are kept with fish, so there is also the possibility that fish eggs might be on the plants when they are shipped out. If you don't enjoy these critters, it is probably best to purchase your plants elsewhere.

Most aquarium plants exist in emersed and submerged forms. These forms look very different. The majority of our plants are sourced from suppliers which grow them in an emersed form. When the plants arrive at our store, we put them in aquariums and they begin to convert to their submersed form. During the transition from their emersed to submerged forms, plants may die back. The leaves from the emersed forms will die off and the energy which was stored in them will be used by the plant to grow new leaves in the submersed form. Depending on how long we've had the plants before they are purchased, they may be in their emersed, submerged, or transitional forms when they are sent to our customers.

Shipping: Live arrival guaranteed. More fish available as of this posting. We are happy to combine shipping on orders.
